Dear veterans,
This is for your information that all veterans discharged on
completion of their term of engagement after 10 years are requested to file a
petition in AFT for sanction of 50% pension Since all central Govt employees
retired on superannuation/absorbed in PSU on completion of 10 years are granted 50 % of pay as pension as per OM 20/09/2008
A sepoy who has taken VRS after 10 years from a regular Arrmy is entitled for.pension?
ReplyDeleteVRS is not allowed for SEP hence the question is not relevant
Deletedear pension rules for civilians are different . it is not appilicable for armed forces. owing to the reason that no service personal retires after 10 years on SUPERANNUATION. pl. note
ReplyDeletepension rules are same but implementation authority is different. You may refer the circular issued bt DOPPW which says separate orders will be issued for ministry of defense & ministry of railways.when ever amendment to CCS rules 72 is made it is applicable for defence also. This is an amendment to CCS pension rules hence applicable to Defence pensioners & we have to approach AFT for implementation. Please note that this is applicable only for NAVAL personal who are discharged on completion of term of engagement of 10 years. But not applicable to veterans from other two services who are discharged at their own request after 10 years.

Dear Sir,
DeleteAt present banking pension rules do not contain any provision to grant 50% pension to those who are retired on superannuation with less than 20 years of service.Since CCS pension rules 1972 has been amended to grant 50% pension to those who are retired on superannuation with 10 years of service, you have to approach your trade union leaders to take up this matter to ministry of finance, department of financial services to give instruction to IBA for incorporating this provision.
