CAT PB GRANTS 3MONTHS TO UOI FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF JUDGEMENT IN OA 655/2010

The contempt petition CP158/2012 filed by pre-2006 pensioners, against UOI for the non-implementation of the judgement in their case OA655/2010, came up before the principal bench of CAT PB on 15/05/2014.The UOI counsel informed the court that the law ministry has advised the UOI to implement the court judgement in pre-2006 pensioners case OA655/2010.The court hence granted 3monts to UOI for implementation of the judgement.

3SLP'S AGAIN SURFACED FOR HEARING

Hearing of 3SLP'S (C)   36148-50/2013 filed by UOI in supreme court regarding modified parity to pre-2006 pensioners, which was adjourned on 30/04/2014 is now listed to be heard on 24/07/2014.Please note that these are the SLP'S in which the UOI has contested the payment of 50% pension to pre-2006 pensioners after 20 years service.At this juncture after the dismissal of curative petition,these SLP'S are also likely to meet with same fate as that of curative petition during hearing.

The contempt petition No.158/2012 filed by   pensioners for Non-implementation of CAT PB judgement  in OA 655/2010, even after the dismissal  of appeals for  the same by Delhi High Court & Supreme Court, came up hearing on 30/04/2014.Since the the UOI counsel submitted that a curative petition CP(c) 126/2014 filed by UOI in supreme court is coming up for hearing on the same day , an adjournment is sought on that ground & the contempt petition was adjourned to be heard on 15/05/2014
