After Bangladesh war, Gen.Menekshaw was elevated to Field Marshal and he was happy with that. He was in the good books of Indira Gandhi and inspite of that he never tookup the case of Defence Pensioners woe. IG simply made his mouth shut. Even he has not asked for a seperate Pay Commission for soldiers. Officers were enjoying a hefty pay structure and they were given free ration ( It was a special ration). Ration Money to the soldiers were very meagre.
When I forwarded the above post to Air Force Association Kozikode what's app one of members insulted and warned me that I am receiving and forwarding anti national nd anty country post.!!! Please clarify.
There is nothing like anti national and anti country post. This is the facts which we were not knowing due to lack of communication and every thing is available in media.
