1) PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA
2)
DEFENCE MINISTER
3)
DEPARTMENT OF EX-SERVICEMEN WELFARE
Respected
Sir,
We
wish to bring to your Kind attention that many of the Armed forces veterans
have been discharged without pension before the minimum pensionable service of
15 years due to various reasons. It is worth to mention here that many of them
have actively participated in 1962,1965 & 1971 wars & war like operations.
They are many veterans who served in Hard living areas like Siachin which is is
also one of the reason compelled them to retire before the minimum pensionable service.
It is brought to your attention that the Second World War veterans are paid
pension without the requirement of minimum pensionable service. A personal
staff of a Minister gets pension without the requirement of minimum pensionable
service. Members of parliament gets pension without the requirement of minimum
pensionable service. Likewise persons who have participated in freedom struggle
gets pension without the requirement of minimum pensionable service
The
plight of many of the veterans who have been discharged without pension seems
to be very pathetic & some of them are living in old age asylums.
You
are therefore kindly requested to look in to their case sympathetically &
grant them a minimum pension as applicable to military veterans.
Chairman
Mullackkal Babu
Armed forces veterans
association ( Kerala)
The PMO has directed integrated service head quarters to take action on our above letter & they have asked us to submit the details of such persons.Ex-servicemen discharged before 15 years without any type of pension. Those who belong to Tamil Nadu may contact Mr.Mohanarangan (AFVATN) & Who belong to Kerala May contact AFVA(Kerala) when date is published in local news papers. Procedure for other states will be announced shortly.
Congratulations! Kerala Team. This is a quality of real warriors. - HFO MP Sharma (Retd)
ReplyDeleteRespected MBC SAHIB AND MULLACKKAL SAHIB,don't be trapped in untrusted guys, all are deaf and dumb if not blind.no yielding till 2019.have INTEGRATED SEVICE HQr's findings ever honoured?only OMJC like committee with an option to extend its submission by end of 2019.even SC's ruling over 33y arrears in not honoured.
ReplyDeleteA very good gesture from our beloved PM. Jai Hind
ReplyDeleteThe point regarding admisibility of pension to the Central Govt civilian employees on completion of minimum 10 years service may also kindly be included as point which will strenthern our argument. In my opinion a military personal discharged on completion of minimum tenure of service when get re employed in the civil service is eligible for second pension from civil side if he complete minimum 10 years service in the re employed appointment. If in need the correctness of the rules position be got verified from competent civil authorities.
ReplyDeletejayarajan sir very valid point you have quoted to be included in order to strengthen our cause

ReplyDeleteLarge numbers of people who discharged on medical ground were not granted disability pension because of down gradation of percentage of disability by CDA (pension) which is painful for them. Because neither they were able to get reemployment either in civil or in army nor they were granted pension. Therefore now it should be considered pension whatever it may be, for those people who have grown up old. The effort done by you is commendable and helpful to veterans. Please go on doing this kind of act for the welfare of veterans.
ReplyDeleteWell done sir. The MPs without any qualification they can enjoy pension till last breath. Why not the real heroes of 3 wars attended. They should be awarded first. But my feel is instead of approaching PMO (Who delay the things finally we have to go to the SC) . Now beginning itself suit the case in SC.
ReplyDeleteWell said and very good effort. Let us hope for the best..
