Dear sir, with full state honors and gun salute let us wail and bury the dead body of OROP and let us have tonsured in condolence of that. nothing we can do other than this. the next remembrance day let us observe
All the serving Generals are silent, the IESM Charman is silent, the RM is silent, the FM is silent, and lastly the PM too is silent on this OROP Bill. Are they paying their last respects and tributes In remebering all the false promises done in the name of OROP. At last the OROP will RIP.
The predicament of serving Generals can be appreciated but General VK Singh ,after sharing the dias with Mr Modi at Rewari is simply enjoying his ministership without having the decency of any open protest to PM leave apart an offer to resign which would have been the real General like quality. Shameless government !
More than this nothing is befitting one to show our anguish. It is projected on each and every points in a very excellent way. This is the most & perfect way to convey our condolences. I salute to the Hero, who designed it putting his best efforts & heart in such a realistic manner.
Really saddened by the untimely demise of OROP.He was so young and energetic. He made us happy and became part of us in a short span of 12 months. But fate has taken him away from us....RIP..OROP...
All problems due to Arun Jaitley god should make him go through the sufferings of old retired ESM who have crossed 70 yrs of age or may be more getting megre pension
Very sad news. We have to unite an teach the BJP a lesson. Don't give vote to the NDA. They expecially the PM,FM, and DM with the help of serving general officers and babus killed OROP prematurely. Where is the so called ex service organisations? They are making news and do nothing for ESM.Everybody making us fools. Sad and unfortunate.
I have earlier commented twice about two months back that OROP is on ventilator.Ultimately it has left for its heavenly abode.May its soul live in peace along with our many veterans who also left this world since 1983.This govt.has nicely befooled us.Our d.m.f.m and even P.M.are the persons behind the curtain. In my opinion Mr.Arun Jately is the real culprit due to whom OROP has been buried for ever.
A paragraph from Shri Narendra Modi's speech at Ex- Servicemen's Rally, Rewari on 15 Sep 2013. Much water had flowed over a period, but after getting elected still the fate of OROP is Sam as it was under other governments.
"Friends, our former soldiers have to wander in the hour of need, of illness. Our soldiers, our modern age Dadhichis, who lost their hands, legs, eyes in the battlefield, who sacrificed themselves on the mother nation. If they have to beg for aid in the hospitals, at the railway stations, Friends there can not be anything worse that I can imagine. This is a matter of concern and responsibility for us and we have to change these circumstances. Who stops our former soldiers to live with honour and self respect, and their genuine demands getting fulfilled? We have been hearing about one rank, one pension since many years, what is the problem..? Today I publically demand from the Government of India on behalf of the army men and ex-service men of this country, to publish a white paper on the status of 'one rank, one pension' scheme. And Friends, I am sure that if in 2004, Vajpayee Ji would have formed government, then today this problem of one rank one pension would not have been complicated..! Friends, people would have sat together and Atal Ji would have found a solution to this problem, and would have given our former servicemen live with pride and honour."
Now that he and his government delayed it for an year has he got an answer to the ExServicemen of this country?
Our govt is busy satisfying corporates govt is doing according to the whims and fancies of corporates.no time for orop.so many reasons to delay orop with the help of babu's.fiis are given tax benefits but not to soldiers
Actually OROP was a good, but murdered. My question is why OROP should be given. Soldiers can be given salute only. For vote bank *JAI JAWAN JAI KISSAN*. Please don't expect anything else other than these. Such privileges are only for civilians /babus & ministers
While going through TOI of today I.e Sunday 17th may our D.M has said in Goa that OROP is almost finalized.I am unable to understand why he is beating around the bushes. He trying to pump oxyzen into dead OROP.So far our F M is there OROP is not going to survive.Even PM seems to be helpless.
India announced on Sunday a $1-billion credit line to Mongolia for infrastructure development as they upgraded their ties to “strategic partnership” and agreed to deepen defence cooperation besides exploring potential for tie-ups in areas such as the civil nuclear sector. The morale of the Indian soldier is put in the back burner just because they could not find finances to fund the OROP.
The issue over one-rank-one-pension (OROP) scheme may not be resolved in the near future as Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday said the “methodology of calculation” was still being worked out in consultation with the Defence Ministry. Asserting the government’s commitment towards implementing the OROP, Jaitley said the Finance Ministry was in dialogue with the Defence Ministry on the methodology of calculation, hinting at no immediate resolution of the complicated issue. If so why can't he handover the ministry to someone smarter and solve this complicated issue? About a month ago, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar hinted at the OROP announcement at the first anniversary of the NDA government at a public rally. He had also acknowledged the complexities involved since the decision will have to be in accordance with two rulings from the Armed Forces Tribunal and Supreme Court. When the Raksha Mantri did the home work correctly where is the problem in accepting it in toto.
All ESM organizations need to unite and there should be only one large organization capable of shaking the government. The delay is because of Mr.Jaitley who was moved out of defence for his unwillingness to OROP concept now also he is trying to delay.I am sure it will be through but when and in what shape. IESM needs to meet PM
