News from Jantar Mantar when the hunger strike enters the 14th day on28/06/2015. 

Dear Veterans

Press release of 28 June is forwarded for all UFESM members.

Relay hunger strike will be entering 15 day tomorrow. 28 June was dedicated to FM Sam Maneckshaw on his death anniversary. Two minute silence was observed by the veterans and flower tributes were offered by all present. 

Speakers after speakers expressed their disenchantment and annoyance with Government. Office bearers of United Front of ESM made special efforts to keep the passion of veterans in control but it seems we will not be able to control ESM across the country for a long time. Today an ESM are very annoyed with indecisiveness of Govt on the issue of OROP. An issue which is simple has been made complicated by Government under pressure of Bureaucrats. The issue has been made more complex by issuing irresponsible statements(planted leaks) by MOD.

Let there be no doubt in any one's mind that ESM unity has been forged for ever and it can not be breached.  

WE ARE TOGETHER FOR WELFARE OF ESM AND WILL REMAIN UNITED TILL ALL PROBLEMS OF ESM ARE ATTENDED. 

UFESM request Government to attend to issue notification for OROP at the earliest. 

RELAY HUNGER STRIKE WILL CONTINUE TILL ISSUANCE OF NOTIFICATION. 

ALL ESM ARE REQUESTED TO COME IN LARGE NUMBERS TO JM TO SEND A STRONG MESSAGE TO GOVERNMENT THAT ESM HAVE JOINED HANDS AND WILL FIGHT FOR THEIR RIGHT COME WHAT MAY!!!!!!

THIS IS TIME TO MAKE A FINAL PUSH. YOUR HESITATION NOW WILL PUT OROP IN SPIN FOR ANOTHER 30 YRS. PLEASE COME IN LARGE NUMBER EVERY DAY TO SHOW YOUR SOLIDARITY WITH ESM OBSERVING HUNGER STRIKE. ESM FROM EVERY STATE OF INDIA ARE OBSERVING RHS. EVERY DAY MORE CITIES ARE GETTING ADDED TO ALREADY LONG LIST. 

SEE YOU ALL EVERYDAY TILL 15 JULY 2015 FROM 1000H TO 1700H AT JM TO BOOST UP MORALE OF ESM OBSERVING RHS. COME AND CLAIM YOUR OROP.

A meeting of UFESM  was held under the Chairmanship of col Inderjit singh  on 23 jun 2015 and the following veterans were elected as officers bearers by unanimous choice:-

2. Brig Kartar singh was appted as Media Adviser and Col CS Khera as I/c UFESM blog.

Col Anil Kaul to continue to coord till JM HS is going on.
3. A further meeting Will be held on 02 Jul to chalk out further course of action.
