DETAILS OF HEARING OF TAVWA WRIT PETITION IN SUPREME COURT TODAY ON 26/02/2026

Today may not have unfolded exactly as we had hoped, but it has certainly not been a setback. Though our case was directed earlier to be listed on top of the board, the court had to first take up a few exceptionally important matters, including a PIL concerning child trafficking. These initial cases consumed substantial time. Since the court was scheduled to sit as a Special Bench in the second half, regular matters were heard only up to lunch, and unfortunately, our case could not be reached.

However, before the court rose, our advocate responsibly mentioned the matter before the Hon’ble Bench, pointing out that despite being ordered to be listed on top, the case could not be taken up. The Bench appreciated the submission and directed the Court Master to list our case at an early date. As a result of this effort, the case status now reflects a tentative listing date of 19.03.2026, in terms of today’s order. This itself is a positive development and clearly shows that our counsel’s timely intervention has yielded results. We are hopeful that the matter will be listed on the said date and taken up for hearing.

Friends, court proceedings move according to judicial priorities and practical constraints. While we are doing everything possible to advance the matter at the earliest, patience remains our greatest strength. Justice may sometimes move slowly, but it does move surely.

Let us remain calm, united, and optimistic. With perseverance and faith, we shall reach our goal—justice will prevail, sooner or later.

    Team TAVWA
