अब 10 साल से कम सर्विस वाले सैनिकों को भी मिलेगी इनवैलिड पेंशन, केन्द्र सरकार ने बदला नियम
अभी सशस्त्र सेना के उन जवानों को इनवैलिड पेंशन दिए जाने का प्रावधान है, जिन्होंने 10 साल से अधिक की सेवा दी हो और जो किन्हीं ऐसे कारणों से आगे सैन्य सेवा के लिए अमान्य करार दिए जा चुके हैं जो सैन्य सेवा से संबद्ध नहीं हैं.
रक्षा मंत्रालय ने सशस्त्र सेना के उन जवानों को भी अशक्त पेंशन invalid pension देने की अनुमति दे दी है, जिन्होंने 10 साल से कम सेवा दी है. अभी सशस्त्र सेना के उन जवानों को इनवैलिड पेंशन दिए जाने का प्रावधान है, जिन्होंने 10 साल से अधिक की सेवा दी हो और जो किन्हीं ऐसे कारणों से आगे सैन्य सेवा के लिए अमान्य करार दिए जा चुके हैं जो सैन्य सेवा से संबद्ध नहीं हैं. 10 साल से कम सेवा वाले सैनिकों को अभी केवल इनवैलिड ग्रेच्युटी मिलती है.मंत्रालय की ओर से कहा गया कि सरकार ने सशस्त्र सेना में दस साल से कम सेवा देने वाले जवानों को भी इनवैलिड पेंशन देने का फैसला किया है. आगे कहा गया कि ऐसे सैनिक, जिनकी सेवा 10 साल से कम की है और जिनके जख्मी होने या मानसिक कमजोरी के कारण उनकी सेवा आगे नहीं बढ़ाई गई हो या अमान्य किए गए हों और जिस कारण उसे स्थायी रूप से सैन्य सेवाओं एवं असैन्य पुनर्नियुक्ति से हटा दिया गया है, उन्हें इस फैसले से लाभ मिलेगा. मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि रक्षामंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने इस प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी दे दी है. इस फैसले का लाभ उन सभी जवानों को मिलेगा, जो 4 जनवरी 2019 या उसके बाद सशस्त्र सेना में सेवा में थे.

The Central Government has decided to allow Invalid Pension to Armed
Forces Personnel with less than 10 years of qualifying service, Ministry
of Defence said in a statement today. The proposal to allow the invalid
pension to invalidated armed forces personnel with less than 10 years
of service was approved by Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh today.
The benefit of this decision will be available to those Armed Forces Personnel who were in service on or after 04.01.2019.
With the latest decision, the ministry’s statement said that Armed Forces Personnel whose service is less than 10 years because of becoming invalidated for specific reasons will benefit. The ministry said, “By this decision, Armed Forces Personnel whose service is less than ten years and became/become invalided out of service on account of any bodily or mental infirmity which is Neither Attributable to Nor Aggravated (NANA) by Military service and which permanently incapacitated/incapacitates them from military service as well as civil re-employment, will be benefited and it will make them economically sound.”
In another development, the Defence Acquisition Council today delegated the powers for progressing urgent Capital Acquisition Cases upto Rs 300 crores to the Armed Forces to meet their emergent operational requirements.
What is an invalid pension?
The government provides invalid pension to armed forces personnel who are invalidated out of services because of disability that can neither be attributed to nor is aggravated by the military service. “Invalid pension is granted to the Armed Forces Personnel who is invalided out of service on account of a disability which is accepted as Neither Attributable to Nor Aggravated (NANA) by Military Service,” Defence Ministry said.Who will benefit?
