    2. It is indeed true that medinces are in short supply in ECHS.I did see a news report that ECHS will also have local authorised chenusrs from where N.A. medinces can procured similar to cghs.Hope it comes through soon.

    3. By merger in CGHS you will lose your identity.Hence against the IDEA.Officers will not get their due respect.

    4. procedure to get 'non-available'medicines from local market has since been simplified for ECHS. Pl visit DESW site. It is not advisable to merge ECHS and CGHS.

    5. medicines are not only short supply, nearing to expiry date(within one or two months). Hence can procured similar to CGHS
