REPORTS FROM THE DIAS OF JM AGITATION FOR OROP

PROTEST MOVEMENT AT JM AND IMPLEMENTATION OF
 ONE RANK ONE PENSION (OROP)
Dear Friends,
 1.         You are aware that the OROP Anomalies have not been corrected by the Govt which has adversely affected our Pensions of 7th CPC.

2.         While large majority of Defence Family  is in favour of continuation of our Protest Movement at JM, a few of us mostly internet users who for the reasons best known to them want JM  to be stopped.  When we ask these persons that we have not got Actual OROP then why they wanted us to move out from JM, they have no answer except that we should take the legal route.  Some of them are satisfied and happy for what the Govt has implemented.

3.         Presence of large number of ESM at JM on 14 May and 15 June 2017 and their overvaluing resolve to continue with the Agitation till Actual OROP is implemented is a factor which should not be ignored while arriving at the decision.

4.         “Restoration of Respect & Justice for Jawan” in our country is far away.  Some extremely derogatory, degrading and humiliating statements by members of the Political Class against the Army in the recent past are cause of serious concern.  The Govt, it seems has not taken the required serious action against the culprits.  The last bastion of the Nation ie Defence Forces are being degraded, humiliated and disrespected.  There is shortage of over 11000 officers and the suitable youth is not being attracted to the Profession of Arms.

5.         While the Rank and File participate in large number, the officers in the required numbers are not coming to JM.  Leaders whether serving or retired have to be leading from the front.  There is urgent and strong need for officers to visit JM on daily basis to fight for the cause of soldiers.

6.         I appeal to the officers, specially seniors to showcase their solidarity by visiting JM as often as possible.  They should suggest alternate options to get Actual OROP implemented and lead the execution of their Plan.
United we stand Divided we Fall”
With regards,
Yours Sincerely,
Maj Gen Satbir Singh, SM (Retd)

  1. If you call the officers for your support then you can very well call off your protest and go back home.Take care of your family.

  3. Maj.Gen.SS please stop quoting Restoration of Respect and Injustice to Men. We came to know about all the games played against Jcos and ORs. If you are really interested in the welfare of Serving and Retired Jcos and ORs please raise your voice for Equal MSP and equal High altitude allowances because the Jcos and ORs are the first victim. WILL YOU DO?

  4. Mr. Satbir Singh (Retd Maj Gen);  you seem to be opportunist, selfish, greedy for power, arrogant, head full of superiority  complexes..... and so on. You are using veterans for your own hidden 'Agendas'. Talking to people, mingling or mixing with common veterans is below of you status. Because even after retirement you still feel you are a much higher ranked officer and JCO & below are very very inferior to you.  Though after retirement everyone is equal and must be equal in love and respect. There absolutely shouldn't be any word like 'Sir' during any talk, discussion or address.  It's a big pain, insult and discrimination when we still see different signs for retired officers, officer's families and lower rank in CSD Canteens when pay the grocery bills. This British Colonial attitude must stop here and now. All lower ranks must wake up and raise their voices for self respect and come out of slavery.

    Thanks.

  6. Shunt Satbir Singh out of IESM and remove him from Chairmanship Indian Ex-Servicemen Movement (IESM). He did every thing for ex-officers only so far. You can see how high raise given in pension to from Lt.Col to Brig. All retired Maj before 1996 will get pension of Lt. Col rank. And he did nothing for ex-jawan. Now you can guess what negotiations he was doing during meetings with high level bureaucrats in the closed doors room. His next aim is to fetch political power for self by blackmailing Government with the help of innocent ex-jawan. Kick him hard now and make him to run at fast. Don't let him come closer to you and don't let his dreams come true.

    Thanks.

  8. JCO and ORs should not support this officers. Officers get more benefits in the name of poor.

  9. Maximum benefits were taken by officers when OROP was implemented in feb ,2016. Ofiicers have been making fool of JCOs and Other ranks. Officers are getting favour from the govt in the name of JCOs and OR. Now it is time to understand the game being played by clever officers. JCOs and Other ranks should leave the officers alone and let them fight for themselves. They are making fool of JCOs and other ranks.

  12. I fully agree to the views of AFVATN dated 01 Jul 17 above. India is 70 years old 'Republic'. First fight for 'Indianisation' of the Indian Army, rest every thing will fall in line. Will 'Lord Class' of Indian Army will agree to that? What is the view of Maj Gen SS about the 'Sahayak' system still prevailing in the Indian Army? Stop black mailing the 'cattle class' they don't have anything to 'RESTORE'.

  13. You can wait for 32 years for OROP. Can't you wait for some time. Let them do their job. Modi promise to give more.

  14. I never considered Officers are Ex Servicemen and Ex Servicemen are only actual fighters who are JCOs and Below only others are exploiting and taking/tampering more advantage/legitimate entitlements by using Army/Navy/Air Force Laws but in actual Officers are getting benefits in the name of Soldiers only
