This
is what Shri Manohar Parikkar, hon’ble Defence Minister in his
interview to The Economic Times says about OROP. This one-rank-one
pension thing is again complicated; it can't be treated as a dynamic
thing where every time someone's pension comes up, everyone else's gets
revised.
His statement leaves me in no doubt that he has only heard what his bureaucrats have drilled into him. He would not have said this if he heard his Service Chiefs explaining what is their stand on OROP i.e. any increase in pensions to serving personnel to be passed on to past pensioners. It is to ensure that at any time pensions of past and present pensioners is same. Otherwise the disparity in pensions shall continue. If pensions are upgraded by any other manner it is not OROP.

Dear MBC, To understand ex-servicemen problem we should have persons of same caliber on top. To quote an example previous American president George W Bush (senior) who was an Aircraft carrier Pilot ejected and rescued during second world war and was administrative head of richest nation .People from other area of experience will take time to understand military pension. By the time they understand they will be moved out or will be without power to solve issues like OROP. .
ReplyDeleteFor political leaders word OROP has become a promise only. It is remembers at the time of elections and then remembered during next elections. For Ex servicemen it is Wait and wait again. From the statement of Def Minister, very little hope is left now and next statement will put a full stop,
ReplyDeleteDear All,
ReplyDeleteI decided that in future I will not give any vote to any party and will not allow my relatives and friends will not contribute any vote to any party either in Assembly, Panchayat, Municipality, Corporation, Lok Sabha etc . Henceforth I will not believe any Bureaucrat Lobbies and Politicians especially at India as India is only Country do not have any welfare to Common, Poor and Indian Ex Serviceman and their families. All promises go to hell. Terrorists, , Naxals, Maoists Pakistan, China are better than Bureaucrats and Politicians
BJP must now be taught lesson like we taught congress. And expose the biggest liar Modi in the history
ReplyDeletemodi JI bhi prop age fail hai
ReplyDeleteThis Govt has to clear all hurdles and announce OROP as soon as possible. Otherwise countdown will start soon. Guaranteed.
ReplyDeleteLagta hai voters sey kush bharee galti ho gaya. Modi ji chae hee bechkar pilate rehte to achha tha.orop implement karna inkey bhagya mey nahi hey. Goodluck to fauji friends till next lok sabha elections.

ReplyDeleteI hope we will never get OROP till our death. The file is a imagine but nothing has been happened as yet. No OROP will will implement till our Generation or in next generation
ReplyDeleteI feel ashamed on my self as an Indian and served with Indian Armed Forces more than 27 years. Why I served for our Nation, there is no use as our Bureaucrat Dogs are the main culprits for non implementation of OROP
