7th CPC: Secretaries group submits final report to Fin Min; Cabinet approval in 15 days

New Delhi: It's good news for central government employees eagerly waiting for the implementation of 7th Pay Commission.
The implementation of 7th Pay Commission appears to be a matter of a few days now. As per Dainik Jagran report, the Cabinet Secretary met the PMO officials on Wednesday and apprised them about the secretaries panel's recommendations on the salary and allowances hike recommended for central government employees.
The secretaries panel reviewing the 7th pay commission's recommendations have submitted its report to the Finance Ministry. The Finance Ministry will prepare a note and present it before the Cabinet in the next 15 days.
With the threat of strike by central government employees looming large, the Cabinet is expected to take a prompt decision on the recommendations resulting in notification.
The salary hikes recommended are expected to apply from July.

7th Pay Commission Latest News – Empowered Committee Meeting may be held Today

New Delhi: The final meeting of the Empowered Committee of Secretaries, who is processing the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission is set for today as the secretaries’ committee hopes to make its final recommendations before the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley within this month.

Secretaries’ committee has been comparing notes, taking into account concerns from employees’ unions, Trade Unions and departments demands through Implementation Cell of Pay Commission recommendations in Finance Ministry which works as the Secretariat of the Empowered Committee of Secretaries.

“This will be the final meeting of the Empowered Committee of Secretaries. After that, Pay Commission award will come out,” an official in Finance Ministry said adding “we have kept our fingers crossed on the Pay Commission award.”

OROP JM AGITATION FIRST ANNIVERSARY--OPERATION DILLI CHALLO

Today being the first anniversary of OROP agitation at Jantar Mantar, National federation of ESM felicitates all associations & its members who have participated in this historic Non-violent agitation. 

This issue was outstanding for the last 40 years & many political parties and their successive Govts professed it but not implemented. Accidently the present political outfit which formed the Govt at centre also tried to take advantage the aspiration of ESM by including the OROP in their manifesto but soon after coming to power they were reluctant to grand OROP.

It is under these circumstances we have united under the leadership pf Col.Inderjeet Singh & Gen Satbir Singh and formed united front of ESM which eventually became a mass all India movement.

Realising the support it received from the various section of society, the reluctant Govt was forced to announce OROP though with some anomaly & efforts are still on to rectify the anomalies. The movement has shown an example to future generation of ESM to fight for their rightful dues in a non-violent manner.

Let us congratulates all the veterans who have participated in the agitation at JM & different parts of the country. We also salutes those veterans who have spear headed this movement 1976-77
