Will clear hurdles, hike OROP funding: VK Singh

Aiming at gaining support of ex-servicemen in the Haryana assembly elections, Union minister and former army chief VK Singh said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would “soon clear bureaucratic hurdles” to implement the ‘one rank-one pension’ (OROP) scheme for the armed forces. Urging the people to “throw stones” at other parties, Singh said the Centre had allotted Rs. 1,000 crore for the implementation of the OROP scheme in the budget. He was addressing a rally in support of the party’s nominee from Gharaunda, Harvinder Kalyan, who had recently joined the saffron party. Once a close aide of late chief minister Bhajan Lal, Kalyan quit the Congress in 2005 and joined the Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) floated by Bhajan Lal. Then he joined the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and contested the 2009 elections unsuccessfully as its candidate.
Meanwhile, Singh, Union minister of state for external affairs, said the Centre would increase the OROP allocation and “may start disbursing dues in installments”. He claimed, “The Congress government did nothing for the ex-servicemen. The BJP upon assuming power paved the way for fulfillment of the long-pending demand. Though the Centre has made up its mind to implement the scheme, files are pending with bureaucrats. I am sure these would be cleared soon.”

VK Singh promises one rank, one pension

Minister for Development of North Eastern Region General VK Singh (retd) today assured people at Arienpura village in Gharaunda Assembly segment — which has a large population of ex-servicemen — that he would implement “one rank, one pension” for ex-servicemen.

At a meeting organised in support of BJP candidate Harvinder Kalyan from Gharaunda segment, he said, “The Union Government is serious about one rank, one pension. Around Rs 2,000 crore has been kept for this purpose and I assure you it will be given to all ex-servicemen. The previous government did not implement it.”

COMMENTS
All the people can be fooled for some time.Few people can be fooled for ever. But all the people can not be fooled for all the time.After BJP govt came to power under the leadership of PM Modi,Not even a single paise is paid to Ex-servicemen on account of OROP.
FM ARUN JAITLY is a gentlemen & he has rightly said that '' Politition make many promises during election which can not be implemented'' during a meeting with IESM delegation along with GEN Satbirsingh earlier.
INFERENCE
 IT is certain that we can not expect OROP from this GOVT.Let us take leave of this hope & live with peace of mind in this grand old age.

PAYMENT ORDER ISSUED FOR JUDGEMENT IN OA 655/2010 SELECTIVELY TO S-29 MEMBERS

The DOP has issued implementation orders in CAT PB judgement in OA 655/2010 restricting the benifits to only members of the petitioners S-29association.This is an interim measure & violative of the principle of law of equality.The UOI do not want to give the benefit to all till the  SLP's are decided by supreme court.
The SLP's were partly heard on 16/09/2014 & some more SLP's were clubbed toghter & now total number of SLP's clubbed have gone up to 22.court orders issued on 16/09/2014 for listing after two weeks.It is now listed to be heard on 14/10/2014.There is no scope for disappointment. Since the verdict is implemented selectively, it has to be paid to all after its node by supreme court & only it is a matter of time.

APPLICATION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME LIMIT ADJOURNED BY CAT

The Misc application moved by UOI MA/2381/2014 in CAT PB seeking another three months extension for payment of arrears to CG pensioners, was heard  on 27/08/2014.The UOI has submitted in their application that the list of members submitted by S-29 pensioners is not genuine hence it has demanded fresh authentic list of members from the petitioners for the payment of arrears & UOI wants extension of another 3 months  to scrutinize the fresh list of members to be submitted by petitioners.Hence the case is adjuorned to 07/10/2014 for further hearing. It is obvious that UOI wants to buy time till the 15 SLP's are disposed off by supreme court. These SLP's are listed to be heard on 16/09/2014

UOI FILES APPLICATION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME FOR COMPLIANCE OF CAT ORDER

UOI HAS MOVED AN APPLICATION IN CAT PB REQUESTING 3 MORE MONTHS TIME FOR THE PAYMENT OF ARREARS W.E.F.01/01/2006 TO PRE-2006 CG PETITIONERS FOR THE COMPLIANCE OF JUDGEMENT IN OA 655/2010 & HEARING ON THE SAME HAS BEEN FIXED ON 27/08/2014.IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THE INTENTION OF THE UOI IS TO DELAY THE PAYMENT TILL THE SLP'S RAE DISPOSED OFF BY SUPREME COURT
