    Ex-servicemen to resume stir

Chandigarh, September 28 Ex-servicemen have decided to resume their agitation and fast at the Jantar Mantar in New Delhi in protest against the government failing to resolve perceived anomalies in the implementation of “one rank-one pension” (OROP) formula. A statement issued by the Indian Ex-services Movement today said the protest would commence from October 2 in Delhi as well as at other places.

    1. WHERE IS "AWAZ-E-VETERANS" GENERAL SATBIR SINGH? LOOK FORWARD TO HEAR HIM ROAR AT "JANTAR MANTAR" AGAINST GROSS INJUSTICE WITH VETERANS/SERVING SOLDIERS UNDER OROP/7TH CPC BY GOVT.VETERENS ARE FEELING TOTALLY LET DOWN DUE FAILURE/STUBBORN ATTITUDE OF GOVT AND LACK OF WILL/DRAGGING OF FEET TO RESOLVE ANOMALIES IN OROP/7TH CPC AND WOULD BE PRESENT/PARTICIPATE IN LARGE NUMBERS AT "JANTAR MANTAR" ON RECEIVING THE CALL. JAI HIND.

    2. In view of the disturbed conditions along LOC, and the case having been raised in Supreme Court, is it better to wait for a later date?

    3. Justice Reddy Commission formed for OROP anamolies is still hearing but I doubt that one man commission could hardly satisfy veterans. Hope the commission will submit its recommendations within the extended period

    4. Yes,consequent to mounting & compounding anomalies ,disparities& down gradation over decades and no visible signs of rectification and resolving issues & matters, the mily( retd and active) ,are being driven to protests and agitations.
Now ,post Uri incident and after succesful surgical strikes by mily ,there con't be a better time & opportunity (to launch or resume agitation at JM ),the timing to tell everybody - netas ,babus, police , public - the Nation at large the unambiguous edge of mily with other comfort zone services of GOi must be restored and maintained at all times - to ensure National integrity ,independence and development.
Just ,lip service sympathy in times of need are not adequte.
Wound any Babu ,police ,neta ,filmi duniya ,cricket duniya can participate in such high risk surgical strikes against terrorists ???.
Message of protest must be stern and clear without ambiguity .most democratic, legitimate ,rational human peaceful protest & agitation.Nothing to fear from mily who have always

sacrificed so much of their comfort ,saftey & life for the people & Nation.

      1. These type of surgical strikes were common in the past at battalion level as and when warranted. For the first time this operation is being politicized in view of the coming elections vital to the BJP. Kindly don't bring in these surgical strikes in our demands for a decent pay and pension. You can see how the bureaucrats and the BJP politicians are gloating over side tracking the real heroes.

    5. Without giving reasons for resumption of the old stance the IESM is irresponsible. Can they spell the reasons for this act. Patience is the day's requirement now that our younger brothers are busy with the enemy at the boarders. Let us see what OMJC recommends, the verdict of the SC on our petition, and the reaction of the government on the servicemen's velour in coming days. We have stretched things too far till now.

    8. Reddy's circus shall not be delivering the fruit of delayed justice. Just guessing from past judiciary mindset 2wards afs. Most Indian judges are biased and pre-jurisdictional in mindset against the AFs . Their actions will prove suicidal oneday and the AFs will emerge victorious someday to come! Jai Hind!

    9. The committee is yet to submit it's recommendations.Thereafter govt.has to take a decision. Also the matter is in the court.I think we should wait for the decision of the govt. on the recommendations of the committee.
