Because they were Confused by recommendations of the Koshiyari committee.....Modi Govt disbursed over Rs 42,700 crore to 20.6 lakh ex-servicemen under OROP in 5 years.... Majority of 30 lakhs ESM PENSIONERS are supporting Modi Govts WORKABLE OROP WITH 5 YEAR REVIEW as they want OROP-2 due in 2019 after they got OROP-1 in 2014* .... *they 're NO LONGER interested in EVERY YEAR OROP MIRRAGE being sold by Satbir Singh and CHARLIE PARTY who actually had withdrawn OROP after 1971 War*
actually offrs secretly got AVSC committee recommendations I.e.13 yrs time scale promotions to lt col & equivalent and also got pay band increase in 6th cpc thus double benefit and ate up major major portion of pension budget where as nothing was given to pbors neither time scale promotion nor pay band increase in fact orop should have been only for pbors reting below 45 yrs of age b'cos they were the the most looser now it is good to see the rejection of review pesion and govt is bound to implement SC verdict Gen satvir has been fighting indirectly for offr s quantum hike on the name of pbors/ widows/reservistquantal who will get only peanuts in revision Hope govt follows sc verdict asap and gives justice to pbors with meager pension
